The Father

Lord, I am so grateful for your love.

Twenty years has passed since my earthly father left this world, choosing suicide over being dad to three kids.

Fueled by pain and pride, I hid from you, God. Still, your believers obediently laid down seeds. Slowly my heart softened.

Nine years ago I finally surrendered, admitting sin and proclaiming the Savior. Now this day does not haunt me. Now this day I rejoice!

I praise you Lord, for your mercy and grace! Thank you for adopting me. Thank you for healing my wounds and loving this unworthy heart.

I am so grateful to call you Father. Today I rejoice in your name!
